Pigeon pedigree app: import from a photo
In short: A pigeon pedigree app that reads pedigrees from a phone photo or a PDF, so you never retype ring numbers and ancestors again.
Every breeder has a phone with a camera. That is all you need to stop retyping pedigrees.
How it works
Take a photo of a paper pedigree and Pigeclub recognises the ring numbers, the ancestors and the notes. You check the result and save the pigeon to your records.
What the software recognises
Ring numbers with country, region and year, sex and colour, and the layout of generations: who is the sire, who is the dam, who are the grandparents. The pedigree goes into your database as a family tree, not as loose text.
How to take a good photo
- Lay the pedigree flat in good daylight, without your phone's shadow.
- Frame the whole sheet and shoot straight from above, not at an angle.
- Check the ring numbers against the original after import.
What about PDF pedigrees?
Sellers often send pedigrees as PDF files. You import those straight from the file, without printing or photographing them.
Stop retyping pedigrees. Pigeclub imports them from a photo or a PDF. See Pigeclub.
